Bonnie has had a lot of trail experience, but has been lounging for a few years so will need a bit of a tune up.  She is a typical quarter horse and does her job well whether she enjoys doing it or not. Bonnie is easy to ride and handle and has taken several very green riders on the trails.  She is one of the two horses we use to teach others to trailer load.  We load Bonnie first and she shows the others there is nothing to be nervous about.
Bonnie is also a bit of a trickster when it comes to bringing the herd back from pasture. She will try to hide behind a tree in the hopes that we won¹t
see her big butt or hope that we have forgotten how to count.  Several times we HAVE forgotten how to count and shut the gate after the herd has come back, had a nice long drink and gone over the hill in front of the house.  Looking out the window later, there is Bonnie, grazing near the closed gate
wondering when we are going to notice her and let her join her herd mates.
Bonnie, was chosen by Jonathan Ayers,  (of
Armstrong Woods Pack Train fame) the wrangler at a youth camp to carry a bunch of 9-10 year olds out on the trails one summer. We were well paid, our
horses got lots of much needed riding and our egos were stroked when Jonathan said he looked at over 700 horses before choosing ours.
