Casper The Friendly Horse Needs a New Home!

Casper is a 3 ½ year old registered quarter horse gelding who suffered injuries during a difficult birth. The resulting muscular tightness led him to develop odd gaits at the walk and trot and choosing not to canter. For the past 16 months he has been in a rehabilitation program and his progress is remarkable! Casper now walks and trots almost normally. He is able to canter on both leads although the canter is not comfortable for him yet. He is being ridden at the walk and trot in a bitless bridle. He carries a rider strongly and calmly.
Casper is very smart, relatively calm and curious to the point of being bold. He loves to be with people and try new things. He likes his training sessions to last for hours! He is well schooled in ground exercises, liberty work and ponying. He trailers easily. Casper is well-built with quality feet. He comes from top cutting horse bloodlines and loves to work! He stands just under 15 hands tall and is building muscle and filling out every day.

For more information about Casper contact Diana Thompson at Phone (707) 542-4646 or e-mail: [email protected]. Visit www.dianathompson.com to read Casper’s full story and see a lot more photos. He is for sale for $1 to the right home.

At this stage of life, Casper is not suitable for a beginner. He is very gentle and willing, but like any teenager can be testing at times. With additional conditioning and training, he will be sound for light trail riding and arena work. He is not suitable for cutting, barrel racing or other high-performance work.
