It's GAME DAY.... A lovely day for gelding...if you like that kind of thing. Dr Robin Kelly arrives at DebraLeas to castrate little Dylan. This one will be the challenge....we are not entirely sure that there are two testicles available.... Volunteers include DebraLea Comstock, Kim Krattinger, Lisa McElroy, Janet Donaldson and Dale Smithson. Dale will be trimming his feet and will give Ely her first trim too.

At left is Dylan with his trainer Janet in his last days as a young stud.... although I do not think his body or mind ever got to put any energy into that idea.

Setting up for the surgery....Dr Kelly has already vaccinated Dylan with 3 way for his tetanus insurance weeks ago. He stands very well for all his shots, thanks to Janets good training.

Talking the game plan.....

Talking his sleepy medicine and planning for the fall. We are nervous as his young legs may not be as strong as they should be- we have just lost our baby to a broken leg.. :<(

Well the layout went well.......Dylan needs to get gelded before he can go to Stable Acres his new home until adopted. We are a little anxious... now what can we find...

At the risk of losing the family audience..NOT MUCH. I do not even see a penis here, never mind the sought after testicles. Perhaps they have a mind of their own...sensing danger...they made a mad dash to the kidneys and are pretending to be adrenal glands... Ya that's it I betcha.

But the Doc manages to chase them down and nab the pretenders....Yay Doc! - you da Posse! Dylan recovered well in DebraLea and Janets care and is ready now for a NEW LIFE in a HERD in Andria Falcon's care. Gotta tell ya - they were the size of small walnuts.

On to bigger things; we move on to the McElroys just down the street. Adrian is next. He is 3 yrs of age. Also been haltered by the McElroys and in training with Janet to prepare for this moment - and all the others that will follow. Here Kim Krattinger of Sebastopol Wranglers gets ready to hold the ropes. Daddy Blackhawk is behind them.

Adrian is Blackhawk's oldest son. He had never been handled. It sure helped him to watch his father who settled back into being handled after many years of neglect. He is a very smart boy and quickly relaxed into trying to figure our what everyone was asking him to do. He is very good minded that way - just like his Dad and Mom. He is just so damned handsome.

He will be in Santa Rosa only a few more days then we have a volunteere up in Lake County that will be training him until he is adopted. What a catch....
