Dear Keepers of the Equine Flame:

Please help!

We have a family of three Foxtrotters- owner was willing to surrender - that need our help. Stallion and mare were put together in a pen as yearlings. The mare was bred as a yearling in this pen. Not much worming or hoof care: And not nearly enough food.
Now they have a starving yearling colt with them. Poor Mom has a chest barely a foot wide. She clearly gave all she had to her baby.
And she is still nursing. What she is making milk from we do not know..... :<( We really are going to work hard to see that she makes it if she can.
We will need two gelding procedures and lots of vet care and training. It's going to cost a bit to get them to where they can pass go. See more pics
Its been just so unfair to them - the parents are barely 4 years old! Let's give them a chance! SAFER is willing to get take these three from rehab to great homes but we need your help.

AND we were at the auction today. Not very many people there. We brought home this beautiful and bewildered Sporthorse mare in excellent condition but with neglected feet. Another abandoned at stable case?? She too will need immediate care: vetting, shots, feet trimming and thrush medicine. She is just lovely to handle and probably very well trained. See her

This is a fabulous place for a horse; all HUGE runs and paddocks and pastures. A round pen, an arena and wash rack. Located between Penngrove and Petaluma just off Old Adobe Rd. This 11 year old mare is 16 hands and very well trained as a dressage and equitation mount. She is stunning but not used to trails although she is fine with other horses around. Very sweet and compliant. See her

just plain beautiful, healthy and strong. She was in a neglect situation but all better now. See her

Rumba is 16 hands and 17 years. She is so very sweet and personable. Very easy keeper and easy to handle. Looks to be slightly unsound - training unknown. I love this horse - you will too. Is there not a gelding out there that needs a sweetie for company? Or another mare to keep company? See her
