SAGE
Sage is a 16-17 year old QH mare. UTD on teeth float, vaccinations and shoeing. Easy to handle. Nice ground manners. Very smooth gaits. She will canter but currently prefers not to. Suitable for light riding. Prefers a roomy trailer. Currently in Potter Valley.
Sage is a very sweet and willing 16 yr 15 h mare. Although this mare is nicely broke to ride, she does have an issue with her RF.
Sage has an old injury to her right front hoof and coronet band. She has a bone spur and needs regular quality hoof care and shoes on the front. She is sound with her shoes.
Sage lived on a cattle ranch in Yreka, CA and was used as a broodmare for a brief time before going to her most recent owner two years ago. She was not ridden for over a year and needs some conditioning and muscling up. This could help with her cantering.
She needs to go to someone who will be diligent in her hoof care with an experienced farrier. She had terrible hoof care before so hoping with good trims and shoes, she will grow out a better hoof and be fine.
